Experience and Approach

Justin Hughes is an Ohio attorney and the founder of Eclectic Legal Services. He has represented clients in hundreds of matters involving criminal charges, juvenile delinquency, abuse, neglect and dependency proceedings, guardian ad litem appointments, and eviction defense.

His experience includes court-appointed representation of indigent adults, work within a specialty drug court docket, full-service eviction representation, and representation of children as both delinquency counsel and a guardian ad litem.

Justin's approach is informed by both professional and lived experience. He understands that court involvement, family instability, housing insecurity, and other difficult circumstances need not define who a person is or what their future can become.

Some of Justin's clients are encountering the legal system for the first time. Others have spent years navigating it and may have good reasons to approach another lawyer with skepticism. Regardless of their experience, Justin works to meet clients where they are, build trust, and develop a realistic path forward that gives them greater clarity and control.

Education and Training

Justin holds a Juris Doctor, an MBA, a bachelor's degree in accounting, and a bachelor's degree in political science. Each of his academic degrees was earned with honors and distinctions.

His commitment to service extends beyond private practice. Justin has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, a volunteer attorney at legal advice clinics, and supporter of many initiatives designed to expand access to justice.
